COURSE DESCRIPTION

Employing current research and interactive lessons provided by websites that are educationally based should allow teachers to enhance their current levels and disciplines. Gender equity, ethnicity, and the empowerment of many disparate groups and subjects are considerations of this course. Participants will be actively engaged in gathering information from “The Web” in order to develop lesson plans specifically for immediate use in their classrooms. These considerations will be reinforced by challenge problems, manipulatives and appropriate research techniques. They will provide participants with a greater knowledge of connections, communication techniques, technological tools, and assessment alternatives necessary for the critical thinking needed in our classrooms.
